GRAND FORKS, N.D. – After an exciting win over Idaho to kick off the week, the Northern Arizona men's tennis team continued their winning ways as they defeated North Dakota on the road 7-0. The victory over UND gives NAU its fourth win of the season and second straight win in the Big Sky Conference.

"It is always good to come away with a road win," said head coach Ki Kroll. "We will need to stay focused against a tough Northern Colorado team on Sunday."

The Lumberjacks won their first doubles point since Feb. 22, against Air Force, with wins on courts one and three. Jordan Gobatie and Alexandre Locci got NAU's first win of the day on court one with a 6-2 victory over David Bergstorm and Connor Oberle. To clinch the doubles point for the Lumberjacks, Jackson Lee and Tomas Hons picked up their second win in doubles play together defeating Simon Danyluk and Matt Fuka 6-4, giving NAU the 1-0 lead.

Every Lumberjack won in singles play for the first time all season starting with Felix Schumann picking up the first win defeating Joe Lee 6-1, 6-2 to put Northern Arizona up 2-0 in the match. Locci capped off his day going undefeated with a 7-6 (7-5), 6-0 win over Oblerle. Clinching the match for the Lumberjacks was Gobatie at the No. 1 position defeating Dustin Britton 6-2, 6-5 as NAU moved to 2-0 in conference play.

Eden Peleg won his second straight match in singles with a 7-5, 7-5 victory over Bergstorm on court two. Earning his first collegiate win in singles play was Lee on court six in a tough 1-6, 6-2, 6-4 match over Danyluk.

NAU will now travel to Colorado to face Northern Colorado to close out its first Big Sky road trip of the season. The Lumberjacks will face the Bears on Sunday, Mar. 22, at 10 a.m. Arizona time.
