MIZZOULA, Mont. – The Northern Arizona women's tennis team ended the regular season with a matchup against Montana. The Grizzlies were able to snap the Lumberjacks four-match winning streak as the Griz defeated NAU 5-2. Northern Arizona ends the regular season with a 12-10 record and an 8-3 record in the Big Sky.

Montana started off Sunday's match clinching the doubles point with victories on courts two and three. The Griz were able to clinch the match with wins from courts one through four to snap NAU's three-match winning streak in conference.

NAU's two wins came in singles play from courts five and six from Marta Lewandowska and Sara Brown. Lewandowska was able to get Northern Arizona its first win of the day with a 6-3, 1-6, 1-0 (10-5) win on court five. Brown ended the match with a victory on court six over Catherine Orfanos 6-4, 6-2 to close out the match.

NAU ends the regular season with 12 wins and eight wins in the Big Sky, which puts them at fourth place in the Big Sky Championships in a six-team tournament. Play will begin on Friday, April 24, in Sacramento, Calif.
