McKee, Cifuentes Named to Big Sky All-Conference Team

OGDEN, Utah - Northern Arizona women's golf picked up the Big Sky Championship on Tuesday, and two members of the team were named to the All-Big Sky team on Tuesday morning. Senior Brittany McKee was named to the second-team while sophomore transfer Kim Cifuentes was named honorable mention.
McKee played in 11 tournaments and 30 rounds for the Lumberjacks this year, and she averaged 76.43 a round. Her best finish this year was a tie for fourth at the Rio Verde Invitational during the spring season. At the Big Sky Championships, she led the 'Jacks on the first day and ended the tournament in a tie for 14th-place with a combined score of 227. She is a senior majoring in criminal justice.
Cifuentes also played in 11 tournaments and 30 rounds for the 'Jacks during the 2014-15 season. Her average for the season was 76.80, and her best finish was a tie for third at the Red Rocks Invitational. Her performance there earned her Big Sky Golfer of the Week honors. She joined McKee in 14th-place at the Big Sky Championships. She is a sophomore majoring in business management.
With the 'Jacks win at the conference championships, they've earned a spot at the NCAA West Regional on May 7-9 in St. George, Utah.
