/ April 09, 2015
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The NAU Volleyball team is hosting their 2015 Summer Volleyball Camps in July, offering all aspiring volleyball players a unique opportunity to experience one-of-a-kind training led by head coach Ken Murphy.
All three summer camps will be held in the Walkup Skydome on the Northern Arizona University campus with over 10 sport courts being laid out on the Skydome floor exclusively for the camps.
Murphy will be joined by assistant coaches Anna Gott and Catherine Chavez and current NAU Volleyball student-athletes in providing the camp participants with instruction that will truly elevate their game. The summer camps kick off with the first Lumberjack Skills Camp from July 14-16, with the NAU Team Camp following from July 17-19. The second and final Skills camp will run from July 20-22.
Each of the three-day Skills Camps is open to females between the 5th-12th grades. From beginners to future collegiate athletes, every participant will receive instruction on skill technique and development which will then be incorporated into sessions devoted to team drills, six-on-six play and tournament play. The campers will be initially divided by age and then adjusted by skill level through a total of six sessions.
High school and club teams who register for the Team Camp will be guaranteed between 10-12 matches as well as open practice times with the Lumberjack Volleyball coaching staff. The three-day Team Camp will conclude with tournament bracket play.
To register for this summer's camps, visit the NAU Volleyball Summer Camp page. For participants interested in signing up for multiple camps, there is a promotion available for 50% off the second camp of equal or lesser value.
