PORTLAND, Ore. – The Northern Arizona University men's tennis team closed out the weekend against Big Sky Conference foe Portland State where they fell to the Vikings with a final score of 6-1. Head Coach Ki Kroll and his squad, made up of all freshmen and sophomores, are still searching for their first win of 2016. Northern Arizona is just four matches into the season but has faced two ranked opponents and two undefeated programs in that short stretch.

Capturing Northern Arizona's only point of the afternoon was sophomore Eden Peleg, who trumped Portland State's Wil Cochrane in straight sets 7-6, 6-2. On the doubles end, Ruben Montano and Tim Handel defeated Ethan Lopez and Brent Wheeler with a final score of 6-4. The 'Jacks could not clinch the doubles point, but the freshmen duo advance to 2-2 on the season.
