Golf Competes in Second Round of Ron Moore Intercollegiate
HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. - The Northern Arizona University women's golf team competed in the second round of the University of Denver's Ron Moore Intercollegiate at the Highlands Ranch Golf Club on Saturday.

The Lumberjacks dropped to 13th place after the team finished the day with a 19-over performance (301 total strokes), which raised their two day total to 32-over (608).

Northern Arizona was led by a two-over 74 performance from Sofia Anokhina, who remained in a tie for 19th place individually with a tournament total of two-over. She ended the second round with nine-consecutive pars.

Sierra Bezdicek was second for the Lumberjacks on the day, shooting a five-over 77. She improved one spot to a tie for 52nd individually. Bezdicek has a two day total of nine-over.

Kaitlyn Saum and Loren Skibba each had a six-over 78 showing. Saum joined Bezdicek in a tie for 52nd with a total of nine-over. Skibba improved seven spots to move into a tie for 70th with a score of 16-over.

Emma Reyes rounded things out with a 10-over round of 82. She is tied with Skibba in 70th with a total of 16-over.

New Mexico took control of first place after its performance today, leading the field with a two-under. Host Denver is in second with a one-over performance. The University of Texas at San Antonio and Washington State tied for third with a two-over showing. Oregon State rounded out the top five with a score of three-over.

The Lumberjacks will conclude the Intercollegiate tournament with the final round on Sunday morning with a shot gun start at 9 a.m. MST.
