FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (October 16, 2019) – Northern Arizona University women's soccer finishes their Big Sky Conference road contests this weekend against the University of Idaho on Friday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. and against Eastern Washington University on Sunday, Oct. 20 at 12 p.m.
NAU is currently placed sixth in the Big Sky with seven points. Eastern Washington falls into third place with ten points and Idaho remains in ninth with two points. In shots, Northern Arizona takes first place with 200 and Eastern Washington closely behind with 281. NAU and EWU also tie for second in amount of goals at 19.
Madison Montgomery currently leads the 'Jacks with six goals and 13 points. She earned her sixth goal of the season this past weekend against Northern Colorado on a penalty kick.
Paige Maling comes in second behind Montgomery with five goals.
Ana Rivera also posted her first season goal against UNC this past weekend. Last year, she was one of NAU's top scorers at three. Along with Rivera,
Kayla Terhune and Maling both scored three goals.
NAU's keeper,
Taryn Benham, has only allowed 16 goals on the season, recording 44 saves. Benham is third in the conference for shutouts at five, just behind Sacramento State and Montana with six.
Idaho (3-10-2, 0-3-2 Big Sky)

The Vandals record 12 goals for the season so far. Leading goal scorer Maddie Haas records three goals with just 12 shots, seven on-goal, making a shot-on-goal percentage of 0.583. Haas as also assisted another scorer twice, earning a total of eight points. Two of her three goals have helped to earn a win for Idaho.
Idaho's main goalkeeper, Avrie Fox, records 39 saves after facing 131 shots. Fox earned her first shutout in a match against CSU Bakersfield on Aug. 25 where the Vandals won 1-0 over the Roadrunners. Fox made her second shutout during the next game against Oregon Tech on Aug. 30.

The Eagles and the Lumberjacks are tied for second in the Big Sky for goals at 19. On average, Eastern Washington scores 1.46 goals per game. Sariah Keister is EWU's lead goal scorer, earning five on the season. She records an on-goal percentage of 0.447, taking 38 shots with 17 on-goal.
Kelsee Winston, Eastern Washington's goalkeeper, has made 48 saves, only allowing 18 goals. She has recorded three shutouts: Nevada on Aug. 23, Idaho State on Oct. 11, and Weber State on Oct. 13.
