NAU Soccer Hosts Weber State and Idaho State, Senior Day Sunday

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (October 23, 2019) – Northern Arizona University women's soccer will wrap up the regular season this weekend with a pair of home games against Weber State Friday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. and Idaho State Sunday, Oct. 27 at 1 p.m. Friday night's game will include a free NAU scarf to the first 500 fans as well as $1 hot chocolate, while Sunday is Senior Day. 
 
There are four seniors being honored on Sunday: Mei-Te Coco, Amanda Bennett, Carly George and Tatum Heeres
 
Coco took four total shots this previous weekend at Idaho and Eastern Washington. At EWU, Coco took three, each being on-goal in just 45 minutes of play. Coco, in her time at NAU, has scored five goals. 
 
Bennett has started and played in 14 games. As a defender, she has an assist as well as taken four shots, two on-goal. She has recorded over 3,300 minutes of play over her last four years as a Lumberjack. 
 
George, as a midfielder, has taken 14 shots, 7 being on-goal, appearing in over 50 games. This year alone, she has played in all sixteen games, starting in 15, recording 1285 minutes on the field. 
 
Heeres scored her first season goal, and the game-winning goal against Southern Utah on Oct. 29, helping to win 3-2 over the Thunderbirds. She has taken 16 shots, 12 on-goal with a 0.750 SOG%. Heeres has also assisted three times: one against Detroit Mercy, one against Houston and one at Idaho. She had her single game career high in shots when the 'Jacks took on Detroit Mercy as well, taking six shots, five on-goal.

Weber State has scored five goals on the season, each by a different player. Jasmine Lotey, Olivia Barton, Taylor Scadlock, Rachel Twede and Lauren McConnell each have respectively taken one shot. Scadlock has started and played in all 15 matches for the Wildcats, taking 21 shots with 15 on-goal. 
 
Nikki Pittman is Weber's main goalkeeper, playing and starting in 12 games. She has allowed 21 goals, making 49 saves after facing 148 shots. Pittman has recorded two shutouts: one against Portland State and the other against Idaho State.

Katie Gogarth, ISU's goalkeeper, has recorded 112 saves, leading the Big Sky. Gogarth has allowed 37 goals, averaging at 2.04 goals per game. She has just one shutout from a 0-0 tie with Weber State on Oct. 20.
