FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (November 21, 2019) – Northern Arizona University swimming and diving will be competing separately this weekend as swimming heads to Las Cruces, N.M. for a two day dual meet at New Mexico State University, while diving hosts the two day Lumberjack Diving Invite. Both events begin Fri., Nov 22 and will end Sat., Nov. 23.
The swim meet will begin on Fri., Nov. 22, at 10:30 a.m. with the 100 butterfly, 1650 freestyle, 200 IM and 50 free. There is a second session on Friday starting at 4 p.m. and will include the 400 medley relay, 400 IM, 200 free, 100 breaststroke, 100 backstroke and the 200 free relay. The meet is set to wrap up on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 11 a.m. when the sides contest the 200 medley relay, 500 free, 200 back, 200 breast, 100 free, 200 fly and 400 free relay.
The diving invite will start Fri., Nov. 22 at 10 a.m. starting with the 1-meter competition. The 'Jacks will be back at 2 p.m. to compete on the platform. Saturday will consist of the 3-meter board starting at 10:30 a.m. In both the 1-meter and 3-meter, the top ten scorers will make the finals.
These meets will mark the last of the Lumberjacks' fall competition before they start back up at the beginning of January.
