FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (November 5, 2019) – Northern Arizona University women's soccer starts its postseason against Northern Colorado this Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 3 p.m. MT.
Northern Arizona finished Big Sky play at 4-3-2 to earn a fourth consecutive trip to the postseason. UNC posted a 4-2-3 record in conference play to make their seventh-straight appearance in the Big Sky Championship.
Before both teams clinched a spot in the championship, the 'Jacks won in the regular season to the Bears, shutting them out with a 2-0 score.
Ana Rivera found her first goal of the season in this match while
Madison Montgomery scored her sixth. NAU kept consistent pressure on UNC's goalkeeper, taking 15 shots, seven on-goal.
If the Lumberjacks win over Northern Colorado tomorrow afternoon, they will advance to the semifinals to play the 2018 Big Sky Champion, and the No. 1 seed, Montana, Friday Nov. 8 at 3 p.m.
The championship match will take place Sunday, Nov. 10 with a noon (MT) kickoff. The winner received an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
