NAU Soccer Opens Big Sky Championship Against Northern Colorado

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (November 5, 2019) – Northern Arizona University women's soccer starts its postseason against Northern Colorado this Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 3 p.m. MT. 
 
Northern Arizona finished Big Sky play at 4-3-2 to earn a fourth consecutive trip to the postseason. UNC posted a 4-2-3 record in conference play to make their seventh-straight appearance in the Big Sky Championship.
 
Before both teams clinched a spot in the championship, the 'Jacks won in the regular season to the Bears, shutting them out with a 2-0 score. Ana Rivera found her first goal of the season in this match while Madison Montgomery scored her sixth. NAU kept consistent pressure on UNC's goalkeeper, taking 15 shots, seven on-goal. 
 
If the Lumberjacks win over Northern Colorado tomorrow afternoon, they will advance to the semifinals to play the 2018 Big Sky Champion, and the No. 1 seed, Montana, Friday Nov. 8 at 3 p.m.
 
The championship match will take place Sunday, Nov. 10 with a noon (MT) kickoff. The winner received an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.  
 
All Big Sky Championship matches will air for free on Pluto TV channel 531 and WatchBigSky.com. The semifinals and championship matches will also air on Eleven Sports.
