FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (January 22, 2020) – Swimming and diving is back at home this weekend for a two-day dual meet against the Boise State Broncos Fri., Jan. 24 and Sat., Jan. 25.
The first day of the meet begins at 5 p.m., with the 400 medley relay, 100 individual medley, 50 butterfly, 50 backstroke, 50 freestyle, 50 breaststroke and 800 free relay. Meanwhile, the divers will be on the 3-meter.
On Sat., Jan 25, the meet will begin at 10:30 a.m., where the athletes will compete in 16 events, including the 200 medley relay, 200 IM, and 400 free relay. Diving will be taking on the 1-meter boards and running exhibition dives on the platform.
Beginning at the second break (approx. 11:50 a.m.), Northern Arizona will honor its four seniors graduating this May,
Erin Spielman,
Kate Bier,
Fernanda Montiel and
Alice Hick for their accomplishments as Lumberjacks.
This is the first dual meet of the spring for Boise State. The Broncos have not competed in a dual meet since Nov. 2 against Nevada, where they took their second loss, 113-187. Against WAC opponent Idaho, BSU won 221-78 over the Vandals (Oct. 12). Boise's most recent swimming efforts include the Mizzou Invite (Nov. 20-22), where they posted a seventh place rank out of ten teams. For diving, Boise was at the UCLA Diving Invite, which ran this past weekend, placing 24th and 43rd on the 3-meter, 20th, 33rd and 55th on the 1-meter, and 26th and 32nd on the platform.
