FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (May 22, 2020) – Beau Prince, a member of Northern Arizona men's cross country's National Championship teams in 2017 and 2018, was recently named a recipient of the prestigious Goldwater Scholarship, awarded to undergraduates across the country who intend to pursue research in their chosen field of natural sciences, mathematics or engineering.
Prince ran in six meets between the cross country and indoor track & field seasons with the Carlsbad, Calif. native posting a ninth-place finish at NAU's 2019 George Kyte Classic. One of 1,343 students nationwide who were nominated for the scholarship, Prince was among the 396 who were ultimately selected as a Goldwater Scholar.
