FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (February 5, 2021) –
It will be 459 days since the Lumberjacks lined up on the turf, gave a team pep talk, and fist-bumped their opponents.

While the effects of COVID-19 pushed their fall 2020 season to now, Northern Arizona has eagerly waited to get back out on the field and show what it means to be NAU Strong.

Before getting started with the Big Sky Conference slate, Northern Arizona women's soccer will begin its non-conference schedule this Sunday, Feb. 7 at Grand Canyon.

While GCU is limiting fans to only students, the 'Lopes will have both their live stats and stream running for the duration of the match.

Grand Canyon opened up its season to Arizona this past Thursday, and while suffering its first 4-1 loss to the Wildcats, GCU proved to be tenacious. Taking 5 shots on goal, the 'Lopes forced Arizona to make four saves after earning the first goal 30 minutes into the first half. GCU held Arizona to its 1-1 score into the 63rd minute.

The 'Jacks will continue their in-state non-conference competition with one more away match against the University of Arizona prior to Big Sky divisional play in March. There will be more information to come on when the game will start and if fans can attend.
