FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (February 10, 2022) – The Northern Arizona volleyball team has announced their 2022 Summer Camp dates with three camps spanning nine days in the month of July.
Head coach
Ken Murphy, his staff and the Lumberjack student-athletes will host series of camps including the All-Skills Camp, Team Camp and Advanced Camp that will provide skill instruction for interested campers of all abilities. All three camps will be held on the Northern Arizona University campus in the Rolle Activity Center and the new Student-Athlete High Performance Center.
NAU's Summer Camps will begin with the All-Skills Camp, held from July 9-11. This camp, available for female campers entering the 5th-12th grades in Fall 2022, is designed to instruct anyone from beginners to experienced volleyball players. The camp will consist of six two-hour sessions over three days and will cover skill breakdown, drills to incorporate each skill and game play. There will also be position group breakdowns available in two of the six sessions for more specific training.
Next up is the Team Camp from July 12-14. The camp is designed for girls high school teams to attend together with their coaches and gain valuable game experience combined with individual skill training sessions. Players must be invited by their high school volleyball coach to participate in the Team Camp.
The Advanced Camp will close out NAU's summer camp series from July 15-17. The camp, available for female campers entering the 9th-12th grade in Fall 2022, is designed for the high-level volleyball player who is looking to explore the option of playing the sport at the next level. The camp will include a mix of position specific training, drills to implement the skills and game play over the course of seven two-hour sessions.
