FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (September 21, 2022) - The Lumberjacks are heading to California to take on Loyola Marymount and San Diego in the last pair of non-conference matches this season.

Coming off of a record-breaking 11-0 win in Lumberjack Stadium last week, the 'Jacks are looking to capitalize on the team's offensive momentum and pick up two wins before beginning Big Sky play.
The Lumberjacks broke the program record for goals scored in a half (7), along with goals scored in a single match (11). The single match goals scored also broke the Big Sky's conference record. On top of the games accolades, the team secured NAU soccer's 200th program win. The team had five players score two goals a piece in the match.
Junior Maddie Shafer had herself a night, scoring two goals and adding three assists. Shafer's nine points broke NAU's single match record for points in a game, earning herself Big Sky offensive player of the week. Shafer now leads NAU in points.
Forward Allison Veloz, slotted herself into the No. 2 spot on NAU's single match record for points in a game with 6. Veloz scored two goals and picked up two assists on goals from Shafer and Dai Williams.
Goalkeeper Trinity Corcoran leads NAU with 16 saves. Corcoran recorded her second shutout of the season last week in her third start for the 'Jacks. The sophomore has a save percentage of .842 through 315 minutes in the box.
NAU and LMU have not faced one another on the pitch since Sept. 26 of 2010. NAU pulled out the 2-0 shutout win in Flagstaff, their only win of the series. Lou leads the series 2-1 with both program wins coming at home for the Lions.
LMU holds a 2-0-4 record, as the Lions come off a 1-1 tie at UC Riverside. The team has two matches left including Friday's, before heading into West Coast Conference play.
The Lions are led by Jennessa Groves who has recorded four points through 313 minutes of play this season. The graduate student scored LMU's lone goal against UCR in their last match, and holds a SOG% of 0.600. Groves has one game-winning goal, recorded in LMU's 1-0 shutout win to CSUN.
Goalkeeper Amanda Delgado has played all 540 minutes in her six starts for the Lions. Delgado has only allowed two goals and recorded 24 saves in her time in the box. The graduate student has a save percentage of .923.
San Diego is also heading into their final two matches of non-conference play, facing Cal Poly Thursday before hosting NAU on Sunday. Along with LMU, The Toreros play in the West Coast Conference. San Diego holds a 2-4-2 record through eight matches this season.
Cameryn Maddox leads USD's offense with two goals and two assists through the season. In 546 minutes, the freshman forward has recorded a SOG% of 0.357. Sophine Kevorkian has seen the vast majority of USD's minutes in the box, as the freshman goalkeeper 34 saves in her 662 minutes. Kevorkian holds a .680 save percentage.
