FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (Nov. 18, 2024) - Millie O'Ketter has been named the Big Sky Defensive Player of the week for the third time this season. It is her fourth time winning the award in her career.
She was first awarded the honors after the Lumberjack Classic, and again after the Lumberjacks completed three wins in a row against Southern Utah, and Utah Tech both at home and away.
Most recently Northern Arizona defeated top-three Idaho State in a five set thriller. O'Ketter tallied 21 digs for an average of 4.2 per set.Â
In the match prior against Weber State, she would accumulate 19 digs for a 6.33 dig per set average.
O'Ketter continues to dominate the top of the Big Sky Conference rankings with her 4.83 season average.Â
In her 2024 season, O'Ketter has had a total of 415 digs and her career total is 1,845. She is closing in on the NAU all-time record of 1,891 career digs, held by Anna Gott (2009-12). O'Ketter needs 47 digs in the final two regular-season matches to claim the top spot.Â
Northern Arizona will face off against Eastern Washington this coming Thursday, Nov. 21, and finally Idaho on Saturday, Nov. 23. Both matches will be at home in Rolle Activity Center.Â
