FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (Jan. 16, 2025) – Head volleyball coach Ken Murphy has announced the addition of two new Lumberjacks who will join the squad for the Spring 2025 semester.
Kate Camp (Las Vegas, Nev./Palo Verde) and Taryn Davis (Peoria, Ariz./Scottsdale Community College) will look to make an immediate impact as they prepare for the upcoming Fall 2025 season.
Camp, a 6'1" middle blocker from Las Vegas, Nevada, joins the Lumberjacks as a true freshman. She was a four-year starter at Palo Verde High School, where she earned several accolades, including two All-Conference Second Team selections and three All-Academic Team honors. She also received the prestigious Coaches' Choice "Panther Award."
Camp played for TStreet Volleyball Club for two years. She chose Northern Arizona because of how at home she felt during her visit and her appreciation for the university's location.
Davis, a 5'7" setter from Peoria, Arizona, joins NAU after two standout seasons at Scottsdale Community College. During her time there, she was a two-time All-Conference First Team selection, two-time All-Region First Team honoree, and earned Setter of the Year, Player of the Year, and NJCAA First Team All-American recognition twice.
Davis is a graduate of Sunrise Mountain High School, where she was a two-time 5A Region Setter of the Year, two-time 5A Player of the Year, and two-time 5A All-Conference First Team selection.
She chose Northern Arizona because of its strong team culture and the philosophy of its coaching staff.
