Women's Soccer / October 22, 2025
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (October 22, 2025) – The Northern Arizona women's soccer team will look to close the regular season on a high note with two away matches. The Lumberjacks take on Eastern Washington in Cheney on Friday, Oct. 24 at 3 p.m. before visiting Idaho on Sunday, Oct. 26 in Moscow for a noon kickoff. Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+.
With just two regular season matches remaining, Northern Arizona must secure all points up for grabs to keep themselves in the Big Sky Conference Tournament. Only the top six teams in the standings will compete for a championship in Missoula, starting Nov. 5. Seven points separate the current first (Montana) and sixth-place (Eastern Washington) teams in the standings.
NAU stands at 4-4-7 (1-2-3 Big Sky) entering this match, after recording two draws with Weber State and Idaho State last week. The 'Jacks are still outscoring opponents 19-16 this season, with
Micala Boex leading the team in goals (seven), assists (six), and points (20).
Avery Ott is close behind with six goals, while Valeria Llamas is second in assists with three. Boex recently earned the league's Offensive Player of the Week nod for her one-goal, one-assist performances in the previous two matches which pushed her into first in the league in points per game (1.33).
Northern Arizona began this season with the goalies in rotation, with freshman
Reece Reichwald earning the last 14 starts between the posts as she has accumulated a 1.03 GAA and 0.843 save percentage. The true freshman ranks third in the Big Sky in GAA, and second in save percentage.
Eastern Washington enters this contest with a 6-6-4 record, including a 2-3-1 mark in Big Sky play. The Eagles most recently took a 1-0 match over Portland State on the road on Oct. 16. The attack is powered by Delani Walker, who has tallied seven goals on the year with Noelle Raczykowski leading the team in assists with five. The Eagles will also look to snap a four-game skid against the Lumberjacks.
Idaho will meet Northern Colorado this week on Friday before welcoming the Lumberjacks to Moscow, as it stands with a 5-4-7 record including a 2-1-3 mark in league play. The Vandals have been spreading out the offense this season, as four players lead the attack with three goals each. Georgia Whitehead stands first with nine points on the year. Paula Flores has spent every minute in goal for the Vandals, as she has notched a 0.87 GAA and 0.814 save percentage.
