FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (October 7, 2025) – The Northern Arizona women's soccer team continues its season this week on the road at Portland State.

NAU stands at 4-3-5 entering this contest, suffering its first blemish in Big Sky play this past Sunday to Northern Colorado, 1-0. The 'Jacks will look to bounce back in the Beaver State and return to the top of the league standings as the calendar inches closer to the postseason in November, while also maintaining its unbeaten record in games away from Flagstaff.
Micala Boex still leads the offense for NAU with six goals and five assists for 17 points.
Avery Ott is close behind with five goals, while
Madisyn Marchesi has provided three assists.
Reece Reichwald remains the starter in goal for NAU, she has accumulated a 0.964 GAA and 0.846 save percentage. The true freshman ranks third in the Big Sky in GAA, and first in save percentage. Reichwald also stands at 46th in the nation in save percentage. Along with Reichwald, the total defensive line for NAU has conceded multiple goals just twice this season.
Portland State enters this contest with a 2-6-2 record, including an even 1-1 mark in Big Sky play. Historically, the Lumberjacks lead the all-time series (8-5-5) but fell in the last meeting with the Vikings on the road, 1-0. Ocean Rideout and Aliayha Saldana each lead the offense with a pair of goals (two) and points (five).
Natalie Cunningham has spent most of the time in goal with 540 total minutes, accumulating a 1.7 GAA and 0.730 save percentage. She has earned the last two starts between the posts, collecting her first shutout of the season against Weber State in a 1-0 win on Oct. 2. Portland State is currently third in the Big Sky in saves/game (4.8).
