NAU Volleyball Close Out Home Slate with Weber State and Idaho State

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (November 12, 2025) - The Northern Arizona women's volleyball team hosts its final stretch of home matches this week as the Big Sky Conference season comes down to the wire. The Lumberjacks will face the Weber State Wildcats on Nov. 13 at 6:30 p.m. MST and the Idaho State Bengals on Nov. 15 at 11 a.m. MST, when NAU will celebrate Senior Day. Both matches will be available on ESPN+.

Last week, the 'Jacks split their matches, falling in a five-set thriller at Sacramento State before bouncing back with a 3-1 win over Portland State. The win was enough to put them back in sole possession of first place in the conference standings at 20-6 overall and 10-3 in Big Sky play. Sacramento State and Northern Colorado are currently tied for second place.

NAU has not yet faced Weber State this season. The Wildcats enter the week at 15-9 overall and 7-5 in Big Sky play, riding a two-match win streak after road sweeps at Idaho and Eastern Washington. Last season, Northern Arizona dropped both meetings with WSU, 3-0. This will be the 89th all-time meeting between the Lumberjacks and the Wildcats, with NAU leading the series 47-41.

The Wildcats earned the top spot in the preseason poll after receiving five first-place votes from the league's head coaches. Weber State is looking to secure its first regular-season crown since 2021. The Wildcats most recently won the Big Sky Volleyball Championship in 2023.

Live stats for Thursday's match can be found here.

NAU last faced Idaho State during the opening week of conference play on Sept. 27, when the Lumberjacks earned a 3-0 sweep. The Bengals enter the week at 9-15 overall and 5-7 in the Big Sky, also on a two-match win streak following 3-1 victories over Eastern Washington and Idaho.

Key players to watch for the Bengals include senior middle blocker Marci Bell, who has recorded 192 kills and 116 total blocks (1.26 per set), ranking first in the Big Sky and among the NCAA's top 50 in blocks per set. Junior middle blocker Jaydin Watts has also been a standout with 185 kills on a .374 hitting percentage, along with 92 blocks (1.14 per set), placing her fifth in the conference in hitting and third in blocks.

In the all-time series, NAU leads 45-41 since 1979.

Live stats for Saturday's match can be found here, where the Lumberjacks will honor seniors Keira Hall, Kylie Moran, and Sophia Wadsworth.
