NAU Soccer Ready to Kick Off Big Sky Championships
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (November 3, 2025) – The No. 6 Northern Arizona women's soccer team is set to meet No. 3 Eastern Washington in the quarterfinals of the Big Sky Championships this week.

The Lumberjacks will kick off against the Eagles in Missoula, Montana on Wednesday, Nov. 5. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. Mountain Standard Time and will be streamed on ESPN+, with live stats available here.

NAU clinched the No. 6 seed in the tournament following a 3-0 win in its regular season finale over Idaho to head into the postseason with a 5-5-7 record, including a 2-3-3 mark in conference play. The 'Jacks look to continue their season and earn a berth in the semifinals. NAU last reached the semifinals in 2023, when it eventually fell in the title match to Idaho, 2-1.

Micala Boex and Avery Ott each have seven goals to lead the team, with Boex leading in assists (six), and points (20).

Northern Arizona began this season with the goalies in rotation, with freshman Reece Reichwald earning 14 starts between the posts as she accumulated a 1.27 GAA and 0.813 save percentage. Lexi Saveski earned the last start for NAU at Idaho and recorded her first career shutout. She has spent 326 minutes in goal this season behind Reichwald.

Eastern Washington took the regular season meeting in Cheney, 4-0, less than two weeks ago on Oct. 24, snapping a three-game skid against the Lumberjacks. NAU still leads the all-time series, 10-6-2. NAU and EWU have meet twice previously in the Big Sky tournament. In 2016, NAU was edged in PK's in the championship game after a 1-1 draw couldn't be settled in extra time. The 'Jacks bested the Eagles 3-2 in the semifinals in 2014.

The Eagles enter the postseason with an 8-6-4 record and 4-3-1 mark in Big Sky play, closing their regular season with a 2-0 win over Northern Colorado at home. Delani Walker leads the offense with nine goals, while Noelle Raczykowski has provided six assists on the year.
