FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (Sept. 8, 2025) - Redshirt junior Hanah Stoddard has been named the Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week following her standout performance at the GCU Classic in Phoenix, Ariz. It marks the first time in her career that she has received the honor.
At the tournament, the Lumberjacks faced Washington State, East Texas A&M, and Grand Canyon.
In the opening match, Northern Arizona battled through a tough four-set contest against the Cougars (2-2, 0-0 West Coast Conference). Despite a strong effort, the 'Jacks fell 3-1 (25-18, 28-26, 22-25, 29-27). Stoddard notched her third double-double of the season, leading the team with 18 kills, along with 13 digs, three blocks, and a service ace.
The Lumberjacks swept their second match against East Texas A&M (0-5, 0-0 Southland Conference), winning 25-15, 25-18, 30-28. Stoddard recorded her fourth double-double of the season, tallying 17 kills and 15 digs while hitting at a .286 clip.
In yesterday's match against in-state rival and tournament host Grand Canyon, the 'Jacks extended their perfect all-time record against the Lopes to 24-0, winning 25-21, 25-23, 19-25, 25-11. Stoddard delivered a dominant performance with 20 kills, 16 digs, and a .400 hitting percentage.
She was named to the GCU Classic All-Tournament Team after totaling 55 kills, hitting .291, averaging five kills per set, and recording double-doubles in all three matches.
Stoddard was also selected to the Big Sky Conference Preseason All-Conference Team, as voted on by the league's 10 head coaches who were not permitted to vote for their own players.
