Wesche Qualifies for NCAA Championships as NAU Sends Three to 3-Meter Finals at Zone E

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (March 10, 2026) - Northern Arizona had a successful day on the 3-meter board at the NCAA Zone E Championship on Tuesday afternoon.

All three senior Lumberjacks advanced to the finals after strong performances in the preliminary round, finishing in the top 18 of 46 divers.

Grace Wesche led the way for NAU, placing third in the preliminaries with a score of 314.60. She followed with a total of 601.00 in the finals to finish fourth and earn a spot at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in Atlanta, March 18–21.

Grace Wesche's finish qualifies her to compete in both the 1-meter and 3-meter events at the national championship after placing ninth in Monday's 1-meter competition. Divers who finish in the top seven on the 3-meter qualify for both events if they placed in the top 12 on the 1-meter the previous day. Likewise, the top six finishers from the 1-meter can qualify by placing in the top 12 on the 3-meter.

Mackenna Stocker placed 10th in the preliminaries with a score of 284.25. She totaled 561.40 in the finals to finish 11th, just five points shy of qualifying.

Margaret Wesche scored 272.85 in the prelims to place 16th before finishing 15th in the finals with a score of 547.05.

"Today was a great day with all three divers making finals in a very competitive 3-meter event," NAU head diving coach Nikki Kelsey said. "Grace had a fantastic prelims and really solid finals. Because she finished in the top seven today and was in the top 12 on 1-meter yesterday, she'll get to compete in both events at nationals next week, which is exciting for our program."

Stanford's Molly Grey won the 3-meter title, scoring 325.15 in the preliminaries and 666.10 in the finals, finishing 47.05 points ahead of Arizona's Zara Joy Ayazi.

The NCAA Zone E Championship concludes Wednesday, with women competing in the platform event and men competing on the 1-meter.

Action will begin at 11:30 a.m. MST, with live streaming available here and live scoring updates available on Divemeets.
