FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (March 17, 2026) -Â Grace Wesche will represent Northern Arizona at the NCAA Swimming and Diving National Championships on March 19-20.
The senior from Flagstaff, Ariz. will face the 1-meter on Thursday and 3-meter on Friday. Preliminaries will begin at 7 a.m. MST, and finals will start at 3 p.m. MST.
Wesche qualified for the event after a spectacular performance at the Zone E qualifiers. In the 1-meter event, she finished ninth with a score of 527.65.
In the 3-meter event, she placed third in the preliminary round with a score of 314.60. She went on to finish fourth in the finals with a total score of 601.00, punching her ticket to the national championships. The top seven divers earned a spot at nationals.
At the Lumberjacks' first MPSF Conference Championship at the end of February, Grace Wesche earned a bronze medal in the 1-meter event with 283.65 points as NAU swept the podium. She placed sixth in the 3-meter event, scoring 261.30. Finally, she finished fourth in the platform event with a score of 238.30, helping NAU to its 13th consecutive conference championship title after 12 dominant years in the Western Athletic Conference.
Northern Arizona has qualified for the NCAA event twice in the last two years, with Victoria Knapp competing in the 1-meter event last year and Mackenna Stocker taking on the 3-meter in 2024.
Competition featuring the nation's top swimmers and divers will be hosted by Georgia Tech at the McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
