Jacks Remain Undefeated in Conference Action, Win 6-1 over Hornets

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (March 21, 2026) – The Northern Arizona men's tennis team won its 16th consecutive Big Sky Conference match over Sacramento State, topping the Hornets 6-1 on Saturday afternoon.

NAU improves to 11-5 and 3-0 in conference matches, while the Hornets move to 7-8 and 1-2 in the Big Sky.

Doubles play was tight, as the point came down a court two where Jakub Jedrzejczak and Jakub Volesky edged the Hornets 7-5 to give NAU the early 1-0 advantage.

Vincent Vohl then secured his second straight win in singles with a 6-4, 6-1 win on court six, while Jedrzejczak extended his conference-best win streak in singles to eight with a 6-2, 6-3 decision on court two to put NAU on the verge of the clinch at 3-0.

Jakub Volesky brought the Jacks to the finish line with a 6-4, 6-3 win on court two, as NAU finished the day with two more wins from Daniels Tens on court five and Noa Tcherniack on court one for the ultimate 6-1 win. Tcherniack, who has played the No. 1 and 2 positions all season long, improved his singles record to 13-2.
