MISSOULA, Mont. (April 5, 2026) – Down 3-2 with two courts left to decide, the Northern Arizona men's tennis team rallied for a thrilling 4-3 win over Montana on Sunday afternoon at the Peak Racquet Club. The victory clinches at least a share of the Big Sky regular season title.
NAU moves to 14-5 and 6-0 in league matches, winning its seventh in a row and 18th straight regular season conference match, a streak dating back to the 2024 season.
The Jacks pick up their second win of the season when dropping the doubles point.
Jakub Jedrzejczak got the Jacks on the board with his tenth straight win on court two. The freshman now has the longest win streak by a Lumberjack since Dominik Buzonics won 13 in a row in the 2023 season.
Montana was able to regain the advantage with a win on court three, but
Felix Neumeister evened things up again at two apiece with a 2-6, 6-4, 7-5 win on court three.
After the Griz collected a point on court one to make it 3-2,
Vincent Vohl battled on court six to remain undefeated on the season with a win in straight sets, including a tiebreaker in the first set to keep the Jacks alive.
Tens captured the first set of his match 6-3, but fell in the second by the very same score. As the match came down to the final set, the freshman found himself tied 5-5 with opponent Joseph Townes, and managed to win the next two games to ultimately capture his match and the contest for NAU.
