NAU Athletics Conclude 2025-26 Season with 58 Big Sky Spring All-Academic Honors

FARMINGTON, Utah (July 15, 2026) – Following a championship-filled spring season, 58 Northern Arizona student-athletes were recognized with 2026 Big Sky Spring All-Academic honors on Wednesday in an announcement by the Big Sky Conference office.

To be eligible for the Spring All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have participated in at least half of the team's competitions, achieve a 3.2 cumulative GPA at the conclusion of the most recently completed term and completed at least one academic term at their current Big Sky institution. Track & field student-athletes must have participated in either half of the team's competitions or competed at the conference championship.

NAU's 58 all-academic honorees were part of the league's 698 awardees across men's and women's golf, men's and women's tennis, softball and men's and women's outdoor track & field.

The spring season was a banner one for the Lumberjacks as men's tennis swept the Big Sky regular season and tournament championships, men's outdoor track & field completed the season's triple crown of conference titles – in addition to cross country and indoor track & field championships – and golf posted its first league championship since 2022. Additionally, the women's tennis and women's outdoor track & field each placed second in their respective sports.

Men's outdoor track & field led the department with 22 honorees, followed by women's outdoor track & field with 18. Men's tennis had seven, while women's tennis (6) and golf (5) rounded out the department's spring all-academic awardees.

Thirteen of NAU's 58 honorees finished the spring semester with a 4.00 cumulative GPA. Nearly half of the 58 had a 3.70 GPA with 24 total, while 37 had a 3.50 GPA or better.

In all, NAU accumulated 192 Big Sky All-Academic awards during the 2025-26 season.
