FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (September 15, 2026) – The Northern Arizona soccer team will play the final slate of their non-conference schedule this week, in a pair of road matches at Grand Canyon and New Mexico State.
The Lumberjacks will kickoff against the Lopes on Thursday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. MST and the Aggies on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 12 p.m. MST. The contest against the Lopes will be streamed on Mountain West+. There will not be a stream for the match at New Mexico State, but the action can be followed on live stats

NAU brings a 3-4-1 record into the week, following a 1-0 victory over Grambling State on Sunday at Lumberjack Stadium.
Elliotte Kortus secured the game-winner and her first career goal in the 86th minute to get the 'Jacks past the Tigers in their inaugural match, while
Emery Copeland and
Reece Reichwald teamed up between the posts for the combined shutout, NAU's fourth on the year. Consequently, Copeland earned the Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week honor, marking the second straight week NAU has taken the award.
Micala Boex leads the attack with three goals on the season and needs just one goal to move into sole place of 10th in program history for all-time career goals. She leads the conference in shots per game (3.75), shots on goal per game (two), and ranks sixth in goals.
Grand Canyon stands at 4-2-2 and most recently took a 2-0 win at Eastern Washington on Sunday. In their first campaign in the Mountain West, the Lopes were projected to finish fourth. Amanda Adams, Ellie Johannes, and Emma Knack were all named to the Watch List ahead of the season, but it is Sophia Rubano who currently leads the offense with three goals on the year. Adams has tallied three assists, tied with Elle Stanley to lead the team while Knack has started in goal in all but one contest and has allowed just four goals under an .840 save percentage. The 'Jacks will look to snap a three-match skid against the Lopes and stay ahead in the all-time series as they lead 6-5.
New Mexico State was picked to finish eighth in its fourth season as a member of Conference USA and currently stands at 1-6-1. The Aggies play host to UTEP on Thursday before welcoming NAU to Las Cruces for the first time since 2019. Esmerelda Arenas-Cejas has tallied two goals to lead the attack, while Azalie Floriano owns the Aggies' lone assist on the year. The Lumberjacks will look to remain dominant over New Mexico State, as they lead the all-time series 4-1-1.
