2010: Advanced to his third-consecutive NCAAchampionship event when he placed 10th at the NCAA West PreliminaryRound in the shot put (58-4.25) … Became the first NAUthrower to collect five Big Sky titles when he won his fifth shotput championship with a season-best throw of 60 feet, 2.75 inches… Competed in five regular-season meets, including theNAU-ASU-UA Double Dual in which he placed third with a throw of59-04.25 … During the indoor season, qualified for his firstcareer NCAA Indoor Championships with a school-record throw of61-10.5 which he recorded at the Lumberjack Invitational in hissecond meet of the season … Placed 12th overall at theindoor championships in Fayetteville, Ark., with a toss of 58-9.5… Won his fourth Big Sky title in the shot put to help themen’s team capture their first conference championshipoutside of Flagstaff in 14 years … Competed in five regularseason meets for the Lumberjacks.
2009: In his junior campaign, Villarreal onlycompeted in the outdoor season ... Recorded season-best mark of18.51m (60-8.5) in the shot put at the Willie Williams Classic ...Collected his fourth Big Sky title in the shot put (18.08m/59-3.75)in Missoula, Mont. ... Villarreal took third place in the WestRegion with a throw of 18.24m (59-10.25) to earn his automatic bidto the NCAA Outdoor Championships ... In Fayetteville, Ark., at theoutdoor championships, Villarreal finished 21st in the qualifyinground of the men’s shot put with a throw of 17.89m(58-08.50).
2008: During his second season at NAU, capturedtwo Big Sky titles in the shot put ... At the indoor conferencechampionships, won with a season-best throw of 17.91m (58-09.25)... Also finished sixth in the conference in the weight throw(16.55m/54-3.5) ...
