2017-18 (Senior): Totaled one gold medal with one All-WAC first team honor and four second team honors at WAC Championships...Swam in 50 and 100 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 200 and 400 freestyle relays and 200 medley relay at the WAC Championships...Swam the second leg of the 400 Free Relay team that won gold with a school record time of 3:23.27...Finished seventh in the 100 Free after a season-best prelim time of 51.23...Finished eighth in the 50 Free after a season-best prelim time of 23.48...Advanced to the B final and finished 15th in the 100 Breast after a season-best prelim time of 1:05.21...Swam the fourth leg of the 200 Medley Relay team that finished second with a time of 1:42.09...Swam the fourth leg of the 200 Free Relay team that finished second with a time of 1:32.53...Totaled 26 top-three finishes with five individual wins and five relay wins during the season.

Personal: Veronica Marie Houck was born Feb. 19 in Wichita, Kan....Daughter of James Houck...Two older sisters, Frankie and Leigh...Sister, Frankie, swam at Bowling Green...Hobbies include reading, longboarding and photography...Lists most exciting event as watching swimming at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London...Chose NAU because it was close to home and the renowned biology program.
