Written Notification of Transfer Request

Dear Student-Athlete:

Per NCAA Bylaw 13.1.1.3.1 and NAU Compliance Notification of Transfer Policy, please submit your written notification of transfer request to NAU Compliance by completing the form below. The form will record the date and time of your written notification of transfer request. NAU Compliance shall enter your information into the national transfer database within two (2) business days of receipt. No other written form of notification (ex., e-mail, text message, letter, etc.) to any NAU Athletics coach or staff member will be accepted.

Please be advised of the implications of such a request:

  • You may be removed from the team roster.
  • Your athletics aid (if applicable) may be canceled at the end of the current term.
    • If canceled, you will receive written notification of cancellation and hearing opportunity by e-mail from the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.
  • You may be denied access to services, benefits and facilities provided to student-athletes.
    • NAU Compliance will notify you by e-mail of the services, benefits, and facilities that will or will not be provided to you.
  • You may be prohibited from transferring to any Big Sky Conference (Western Athletic Conference for women's swimming and diving) institution (intraconference transfer rule).


NAU Compliance recommends that you first speak to your head coach and/or sport administrator prior to submitting your written notification of transfer.

NAU Compliance will send you an e-mail to confirm receipt of your written notification of transfer. Please reply to affirm your action. If this is an error or you would like to withdraw your written notification of transfer, it is important that you reply to NAU Compliance immediately.
