Academic Notes: Currently working toward her master’s degree in human relations

2016 Cross Country: Big Sky All-Academic team honoree...Competed in six events for the Lumberjacks during his first year with the program...Best showing of the year came with her fourth-place finish at the Mesa T-Bird Classic (18:18.1)...Came in 14th at the George Kyte Classic with a time of 16:35.6...Also ran to a 14th-place finish at the Big Sky Championships (18:10)...Ended the season at the NCAA Mountain Regionals...Also competed at the Roy Griak and Nuttycombe Invitationals.  

Before NAU: Graduated with a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science as a nutrition major at the Waikato Institute of Technology in New Zealand

High School: Attended New Plymouth Girls’ High School in New Zealand … Competed in the Australia cross country championships, becoming the first female athlete in her high school’s history to compete at that event

Personal: Born to Julie and Peter Roughan on Oct. 30, 1993 … Hobbies include nutrition, long boarding and swimming at the beach … Has four siblings: Nick, Adam, Lydia and Madeleine … Most memorable moment in her athletic career was representing New Zealand at the Australian Secondary School’s cross country championships in Canberra … Chose NAU for the great coaching, the opportunity to train at altitude and race in a team environment
