Academic Notes: Finishing his bachelor’s degree in criminology and criminal justice here at NAU

2017 Cross Country: All-American...All Big Sky...Big Sky All-Academic team honoree...Dominate second year at NAU with multiple top 3 finishes...Placed 5th at the George Kyte Classic (23:18.4)...Won first-place at the Greater Louisville Classic with a time of 23:10.52...Fifth-place finish at Wisconsin Nuttycombe Invitational (23:42.0)...Second-place finish at Big Sky Conference (23:22) followed up by a fifth-place finish at NCAA Mountain Regionals (30:18.3)...Came in second-place at NCAA Championships in Louisville, KY with a time of 29:00.78 to help lead NAU to it's first ever back-to-back National Championship in Men's Cross Country.

2016 Cross Country: All-American...All Big Sky...Big Sky All-Academic team honoree...Had an outstanding first season with NAU...Opened the year with a third-place finish at the George Kyte Classic (22:51.2) and followed it up by winning the Sycamore Invitational in his next meet with a time of 25:01...Finished eighth at the Nuttycombe Invitational (24:02.5)...Finished runner-up with a second-place showing at the Big Sky Championships (24:13)...Came in 22nd at the NCAA Mountain Regionals (31:19.7)...Came in 11th at the NCAA National Championships (30:03.1), helping to clinch the first national championship for not only NAU in cross country, but in school history.

Before NAU: Transferred from Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand

High School: Attended the New Plymouth Boys' High School in New Zealand, competing on the school’s cross country team from 2008-2012 … Named the NPBHS Athlete of the Year and the Taranaki Daily News Junior Athlete of the Year (2012) … Holds the New Zealand High School senior track record in the 3000m event … At the NZHS cross country championships in 2011, his team placed second overall

Personal: Born August 8...Son of Karen and Rob … Has two siblings, Glen and Kate … Hobbies including studying and running … Most memorable moment in his athletic career came while breaking the 1500m NPBHS school record … Chose NAU because of the coaching and the opportunity to train at altitude … People he admires most are his parents because “of everything they have done for my brother, sister and myself.”
