2014 Cross Country: Opened his Northern Arizona career at the Washington Invitational, coming in sixth for the 'Jacks and 35th overall ... He first scored for the 'Jacks at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational, coming in fifth for NAU ... posted an eighth-place finish - good for All-Big Sky honors - at the Big Sky Championships ... finished 17th at the NCAA Mountain Regional to earn All-Mountain Region honors ... came in fourth for the Lumberjacks at the NCAA Championships - where the 'Jacks finished fourth - with a 55th-place finish and 10K time of 31:09.30. 

Before NAU: Competed in cross country for the University of Louisville from 2010-13 ... Was an All-American in 2013

High School: Finished seventh at the Foot Locker National Championships ... State runner-up in the two-mile ... held school records in the 4x400m relay, mile, two-mile and 4x800m relay

Personal: Born on Nov. 12, 1991 to Gary and Angie Byrne ... Has two brothers, Ryan and Jordan ... Most memorable moment in his athletic career was his All-American finsih at the 2013 NCAA Cross Country Championships ... Chose NAU because of the "great coach, team and place to train."
