Lexie started off in gymnastics when she was about 5 and stayed in it until she was 14.  Her sophomore year of high school, she joined her school’s cheer team along with being on an all-star team starting her junior year. She went to Worlds 2012 in Florida with her all-star team. She continued cheering for her high school team up until the end of her senior year. Lexie wanted to continue with cheer in college because cheer is her life and is her true passion. She started looking into colleges with competitive cheer teams that had her major, which is communications, and I found NAU! I visited the campus, met with the cheer coach, and fell in love with the school. There was no doubt that she wanted to attend NAU. It’s the perfect place for her because it has four seasons, is far enough from home, but close enough where she can go home when she need to. Lexie is very satisfied with her decision to attend NAU and be a part of their cheer team.
