Heather started cheer her first year of high school on the junior varsity team and even though she had never done cheer, she was chosen to be the captain. They were undefeated that year as well as USA National Champions. Heather’s sophomore and junior year she was on the varsity team, which involved extreme workouts and conditioning but if you train like a champion, you become a champion. The first year being on varsity, the team was undefeated with two national titles: UCA Nationals in Orlando and USA Nationals in Anaheim. Her junior year, the team was still undefeated in California but unfortunately only obtained the USA National Champions title and took home 6th at UCA nationals. Heather is a biomedical major with a minor in chemistry and plan on attending medical school in California. Attending NAU is a tradition in my family, and she is excited to carry on the Lumberjack tradition.
