2010 Track & Field: Won the North America, Central America and Caribbean (NACAC) Athletic Association Under-23 10,000-meter run in Miramar, Fla., while representing the United States in first career international race to close out stellar outdoor campaign …Earned All-American status for the second-straight season in the 10,000-meter run with a 15th-place finish at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships (29:29.62) …Recorded a second-place finish (29:37.52) in the 10K at the NCAA West Preliminary Round in Austin, Texas to advance to his second-straight NCAA Outdoor Championships … At the Big Sky Outdoor Championships, won the 10K for the second-straight year, and took third in the 5,000-meter run after doubling up for the weekend … Ran to a career-best mark of28:52.57 at the 52nd Annual Mt. SAC Relays while finishing second overall in the race … Also recorded a new personal-best mark in the 5K at the Stanford Invitational (13:58.20) … In outdoor debut, recorded personal-best mark of 3:51.87 in the 1500m at the Arizona State Invitational … At the Big Sky Indoor Championships, collected two second-place finishes in both the 3,000-meter run and 5K to help lead the men's team to the conference title … Ended indoor season with the 28th fastest time in the nation at 5,000m (13:59.30).
2009 Cross Country: Raced six times for the Lumberjacks in first cross country season at NAU … Finished fourth on the team, 74th overall, at the NCAA Cross Country Championships in a time of 30:39.3, his fastest 10K mark of the year … Turned in a 30th-place performance (31:25.2) at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships, and was the fourth Lumberjack to cross the finish line … Earned All-Big Sky honors with a 10th-place finish at the Big Sky Championships ( 26:11.5) … Took 39th in the "blue" race at the NCAA Pre-Nationals in a time of 24:35.7 … Recorded best 8K time of the season (24:22.9) at the Cowboy Jamboree when he finished 14th overall, and fourth on the team … Opened season at the Aztec Invite in hometown of San Diego, Calif., finishing in second behind teammate Jordan Chipangama.
2009 Track & Field: In first year with the Lumberjacks advanced all the way to the NCAA Outdoor Championships, finishing ninth in the 10,000-meter event and earned All-American honors (29:18.23) for the first time ... One of just three freshmen to appear in the championship race … Won the Big Sky Outdoor Championships title in the 10K (30:26.40@) and finished third in the 5,000m run (14:30.05@) … Collected best 10k time of the season at the Mt.
