2014: Redshirted both the indoor and outdoor seasons

Before NAU: Was a two-year letterwinner at Glendale Community College where he posted marks of 170' and 44' in the javelin and shot put, respectively ... Qualified for the 2013 NJCAA National Meet in the javelin event

High School: Was a four-year letterwinner in football and a three-year letterwinner in track & field ... Best marks were 138' in the discus and 43' in the shot put .... Was a member of the No. 3 ranked high school football team in the country in 2009

Personal: Born to Randy and Sherri Brandt on January 1, 1993 ... Has one sibling Tyler who also attends NAU ... Chose NAU because of the success of the program and he wanted to work with Coach Duncan
