2023-24 (Freshmen): Set three season bests at the WAC Championships in the 50 free (24.52), 50 fly (27.64) and in the 100 free (52.81) … was on 200-yard medley relay team that captured the victory vs New Mexico State on Dec 16 (1:44.96).

High School: Was a four-year letter winner for head coach Emily Mathis at Timberline High School in Boise, Idaho…Also competed in track and field for head coach Ty Axtman…Earned the coaches award for her performance in the 2022 season…Recipient of six Idaho state titles…Owns the Timberline High School school record in the 50 freestyle with a time of 24.40. 

Personal: Ellie Kate McFarland was born on March 2, 2005, to Ryan and Kate McFarland…Is the younger sister of Tyler and older sister of Bekah… Outside of swimming, she enjoys mountain biking, skiing, cooking and reading in her free time…She chose NAU because of her relationships with the coaching staff and the beautiful scenery around the Flagstaff area.
