2022-23 (Sophomore): Earned WAC diver of the week honors after first Lumberjack Diving Invite where she found two podium finishes, placing third in the 1m event with 270.90 marking her season best in the event and placing second in the 3m event with 274.05 and fourth place on platforms... Marked her collegiate best score in 3m at the second Lumberjack Diving Invite with 293.60 and a season best of 212.80 on platforms... Competed in 1m and 3m at the NCAA Zone E Championships.

2021-22 (Freshman): Recorded season best in the 1-meter event with a fourth place finish at the Lumberjack Diving Invite with a score of 286.40... Found platform season best with a fifth place finish of 246.68 at the second Lumberjack Diving Invite... In first-ever WAC Championships found 3m season best with 278.10 in prelims, going on to finish seventh overall in 3m finals... Finished sixth in WAC Championship platform event... Competed in 1m and platform events at NCAA Zone E Championships.

High School: In 2018, Most Valuable Diver, CIF Champion, All CIF. In 2019, Most Valuable Diver, CIF Champion, and AAU diving All American. Held records in six and eleven dives.
Personal: Makenna Sammons was born on September 30th, 2003. Her mom is Patricia Sammons, she admires her the most for adopting her and raising her to work hard and achieve all of her goals in life. Makenna enjoys going to the beach and chose NAU for the amazing psychology program and dive team.
