Biography
2025-26 (Junior): Clocked a season best in the 50-yard breaststroke against Utah Tech (29.99)...Two-time finalist, posting a season best in 100-yard breaststroke (1:03.26) and posted two personal bests in 200-yard breaststroke (2:16.87) and 200-yard individual medley (2:05.97) at the MPSF Championships.
2024-25 (Sophomore): Secured third against Utah Tech in 50-yard breaststroke (30.85) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:07.32)... Contributed to the win against Utah Tech in the 300-yard breaststroke relay posting a combined time of 3:10.23…Among top finishers in 200-yard breaststroke C final at WAC Championships (2:18.07).
2023-24 (Freshmen at Incarnate Word): Swam 100 L breaststroke (1:17.30) and 100 L butterfly (1:10.52) at GU ASC Texas Senior Circuit.
High School: Eighth at State junior year... Fourth at State senior year...Holds the 100 breaststroke record at James E Taylor.
Personal: Mariana Diaz-Ponce was born on February 10...Daughter to Claudia and Marco and older sister to Juan...She enjoys being active...She chose NAU because she loves the coaches, team, and campus.
