Jordan Leiter begins her first year with the NAU volleyball team as a graduate assistant following a two-year Lumberjack playing career that culminated in a Big Sky Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance in 2015.

Leiter was a critical part of NAU’s conference championship team in her final season, starting 16 matches during the Lumberjacks’ record breaking run to the NCAA Tournament. She was a specialist at the service line, ranking third in the Big Sky in ace average at 0.33 per set. Leiter ranked third on the team with 34 aces for the season and spent the majority of her senior campaign in the back row where she totaled 198 digs.

Originally recruited as a setter, Leiter earned her first two career starts in the first two matches of the season in her home state of Virginia. Starting against Lehigh and James Madison, Leiter totaled double-doubles in both matches including a career-best performance of 53 assists, 20 digs, five kills and two blocks versus the JMU Classic host.

Over her two-year NAU career, Leiter played in 37 matches and totaled 176 assists, 35 aces and 200 digs. She previously played two seasons at Central Arizona College where she was a First Team All-Conference pick as a sophomore after ranking second in the country in assists and fourth in aces. Leiter also led the country with 0.91 aces per set in her first season at CAC.

The Leesburg, Va. product graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Strategic Communications from Northern Arizona University in May 2016.
