Prior to NAU: Devlin was born in Tucson, Ariz., and attended Thatcher High School before wrapping up her prep career at ALA Queen Creek. At Thatcher, Devlin was a three-year starter and letterwinner and was also named a team captain. Devlin continued her captain duties during her lone season at ALA Queen Creek where she was also a starter and letterwinner.
 
In high school, Devlin compiled 1,194 career kills to average 3.5 per set while hitting at a .433 percent clip. On the defensive side, she compiled 726 digs and 341 blocks. Some of Devlin's prep career accolades include being named to the All-Region team four times, All-Conference Player of the Year, All-State Honorable Mention and All-State first team. She was a member of the Arizona High Performance Team for three years and was a captain for one.
 
Off the court, she made it on the honor roll all four years and received four academic athlete awards.
