Cody Hodgeson

Cody Hodgeson was appointed Director of Olympic Strength and Conditioning for Northern Arizona University in August 2025, marking his return to NAU after a seven-year tenure at Ottawa University Arizona, where he served as Director of Strength and Conditioning beginning in January 2018.

Hodgeson's career at NAU began in 2009 as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach with the Lumberjacks. He was promoted to Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in July 2010, a position he held until his departure in 2018.

Before joining NAU, Hodgeson served as Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning at the University of Northern Colorado, a fellow Big Sky Conference member. 

His professional foundation was built during a two-year graduate assistantship at Central Connecticut State University, where he earned his Master of Science degree in Exercise Science while working in their Strength and Conditioning program.

A Northern Arizona University alumnus, Hodgeson graduated in 2006 with a degree in Exercise Science and minors in Biology and Chemistry. During his undergraduate years, he gained valuable experience as a student intern in NAU's Strength and Conditioning Department for two years. 

His athletic background includes a two-year collegiate wrestling career at Pima College in Tucson, Ariz., followed by an internship at the University of Arizona during the 2003-04 academic year.

An Arizona native, Hodgeson resides in Flagstaff with his wife Liz and their three daughters, Zoie, Reagan, and Holly.
