Corie Saganitso was hired as NAU’s Financial Oversight Director (CFO) for the Athletic Department in August 2026.

Saganitso is a familiar face on the Northern Arizona University campus, joining the Athletic Department after seven years in a variety of roles across campus. Most recently, Saganitso served as an Assistant Director for Financial Oversight in the Steve Sanghi College of Engineering and also held roles in Student Affairs and Campus Recreation.

Throughout her time at NAU, Saganitso has worked closely with budget management, financial oversight, sponsored projects administration, procurement, payroll, travel and operational planning, all of which will carry over to her current role with NAU Athletics.

Saganitso began her professional career with the Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation as a volunteer office aid, before moving on to Native Americans for Community Action Inc. as a financial & grants management accountant.

 A proud Arizonan, Saganitso grew up on the Navajo Reservation. She was a double major at Northern Arizona University, earning her bachelor’s degree in May 2017 in business administration and management and finance.
