Maxwell Nagle

Maxwell Nagle joined NAU as an Assistant Director of Communications in August 2025. In his role, he serves as the primary contact for the women’s soccer, women’s basketball, and tennis programs.

Nagle arrives at NAU after spending the previous year at James Madison University Athletics as a Communications Assistant. In his role, he served as the primary contact for the women’s soccer and lacrosse programs and secondary for the men's basketball program. He successfully promoted two conference championship runs and two NCAA Tournament appearances for the women’s soccer and lacrosse programs, and also contributed to the social media efforts during the first bowl win in JMU Football program history at the Boca Raton Bowl in December 2024.

Prior to joining JMU, Nagle worked as a Graduate Assistant in the Athletic Communications office at VCU, where he served as the primary communications contact for men’s and women’s tennis programs. He graduated with his master’s degree from the Center for Sport Leadership at VCU in August 2024. Nagle received his undergraduate degree in English and Communications from Hollins University in 2019 while playing on the basketball team for three years.

Nagle is a native of Reston Va., and currently lives in Flagstaff with his cat, Wilson. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, working out, and listening to music.
