Aleksandra Chekalina recorded her best finish of her freshman season finishing seventh at the Red Rocks Invitational in Cornville, Ariz. this past weekend. Her seventh-place finish guided the NAU golf team to their best team performance this season in a tie for third overall in the 18-team field. Chekalina opened up the tournament with her lowest collegiate round of 69 and then fired off her second sub-par round with a 70 in the second round. She finished with a 73 in the third round for a three-round score of 212 at -1 under par for the tournament.
