Abby Akin was the lead force for the conference's top blocking team in the first week of conference play versus Northern Colorado and Southern Utah recording 13 individually. Akin had seven blocks against Northern Colorado and followed that up with six blocks against Southern Utah, propelling NAU to a three-set sweep. She also averaged 2.25 kills per set on .548 hitting and led the team with three service aces.
