Taryn Benham debuted for the Lumberjacks for the first time on Sept. 29 versus Northern Colorado after an unexpected injury left senior goalkeeper Meghan Dickmann on the sideline. Benham recorded two shutouts and eight saves in her opening weekend helping NAU to a pair of 1-0 wins over Northern Colorado and North Dakota. For her efforts, she earned her first career Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week honor.
