Running a personal best 13:13.14, Luis Grijalva earned a silver medal in the 5,000-meter run at the 2021 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Ore. Grijalva's time marked a new Northern Arizona University and Big Sky Conference record while also reaching the Olympic standard in the 5,000m.
